Overview

Set up the Subscription Hub by placing its components on your portal pages and configuring each subscription product’s visibility and management controls. The hub and its companions are unmanaged Portal Components — clone a component before changing its code so a package upgrade does not overwrite your edits.

Add the Subscription Hub to a Portal Page

1

Place the hub component

On your subscriptions page, drag and drop the FS Portal - Subscription Hub component (and, if you want a highlighted card, FS Portal - Subscription Hub Featured) onto the page.

2

Set the required Renew and Manage page URLs

On the FS Portal - Subscription Hub component, set the Renew Page (renewPageUrl) and Manage Page (managePageUrl) properties. Point each one at the portal page that hosts the corresponding renew and manage components.
Both URLs are required. If you leave them at their default value of /, the Manage and Renew links resolve to the site root and silently take the member to the wrong place — no error is shown.
3

Add the manage and benefits pages

Create a page for managing subscriptions (for example, Manage Subscription) and drop the FS Portal - Manage Subscription, FS Portal - Subscription Card, and FS Portal - Subscription Benefit Allocation Tile components onto it. On the FS Portal - Manage Subscription component, fill out the paths for Cancel Subscription and Renew Subscription. On the FS Portal - Subscription Benefit Allocation Tile, set Allocate Contacts URL to your Manage Benefits page and choose a field set for Add Contact.

Configure Subscriptions for the Hub

On each subscription Product2 record, set the visibility and management controls in the Subscription Configuration section.
Renew X Days Before Expiry and Renew X Days After Expiry can be safely ignored when Renew Anytime is checked.

Limitations and Common Pitfalls

  • Empty Subscription Visibility hides a subscription entirely — even from the contact who owns it. Set FS_PORTAL_Subscription_Visibility__c on each subscription product, or it never appears in the hub.
  • The Renew and Manage page URLs are required and default to /. Left at /, the hub’s Manage and Renew links resolve to the site root with no error — set both to the real pages.
  • Visibility is not management. A contact who can see a subscription still cannot act on it unless their role is in FS_PORTAL_Manage_Subscription__c.
  • Only subscription Purchase Activities appear (FCORE_MEM__Is_Subscription__c = TRUE); non-subscription purchases never show in the hub.
