What This Section Covers

This section is where you define everything your organization sells — memberships, event tickets, sponsorships, merchandise, certifications, and the rules that govern their pricing and eligibility. In fusionCore, each thing you sell is a Salesforce Product (Product2) record. fusionCore extends the standard Salesforce Product with extra configuration — a System Category that controls how the product behaves, subscription settings, benefit entitlements, tax treatment, and discount eligibility. If you are setting up a new org, start with Product Set Up to create your products and their prices, then layer on the other features as your offerings require them.

Key Concepts

  • Product (Product2) — a single thing you sell. fusionCore products fall into System Categories (Subscription, Miscellaneous, Tax) that determine the fields and behavior available.
  • Price Book — where a product’s prices live. A product needs a price-book entry before it can be sold.
  • Subscription Plan — the schedule and renewal rules applied to a subscription product (Anniversary or Calendar). Subscription Plans are set up in the Subscriptions section.
  • Condition — reusable eligibility or pricing logic you attach to price books, tax products, or renewal paths.
