What This Section Covers
Opportunities help you track revenue-generating activities such as membership renewals, sponsorship deals, event registrations, and fundraising campaigns. They let you monitor progress, forecast income, and collaborate across teams. An Opportunity captures key details about a potential sale — such as the source, expected close date, amount, and stage — so the path to closing it stays clear and organized. In fusionCore, an Opportunity is the standard SalesforceOpportunity record extended with custom fields that fusionCore uses to convert it into an Order. There are no custom Opportunity record types, and the Business Unit is not set on the Opportunity — it is derived from the products you add.
Key Concepts
