This part of fusionCore is about the organizations and people your association works with — and the records that represent them in Salesforce. If you are new to fusionCore, start here to get your bearings before opening the individual guides.

Key Concepts

A few terms come up throughout this section:
  • Account — a record that represents an organization, such as a member company, chapter, vendor, or partner.
  • Contact — a record that represents an individual person, usually someone associated with an Account.
  • Person Account — a single record that stores one individual as a combined Account and Contact, for people who are members in their own right rather than through an organization.
  • Community — a group within an association, such as a chapter, committee, board, or working group, along with who belongs to it and the role each person holds.
