# Discount Codes Overview

> Offer promotional codes that reduce the price of eligible products in fusionCore, with usage limits, eligibility rules, and tracking.

## Overview

The **Discount Codes** feature lets your organization quickly introduce codes that give customers a discount on selected products. Flexible configuration and usage tracking help ensure each code is used as intended.

## Key Capabilities

* **Usage limits** — set how many times a code can be applied overall, and an additional per-customer limit on the number of orders.
* **Eligible products** — not every product has to be eligible for a code; you control eligibility per product, and the dedicated **Manage Products** action makes it quick to configure.
* **Built-in validation** — fusionCore prevents a code from being applied to an order it does not qualify for.
* **Multi-channel** — codes can be applied by staff in Salesforce and by members in the portal.

* **Transparency** — customers can see which code is applied and how it affects item prices.
