# Using Account Address Flowdown with Person Accounts

> Sync a Person Account's Billing Address to its Mailing Address with the Sync Address Details button.

### How Address Flow Down Works for a Person Account

Because a **Person Account** has no separate child Contact, the **automatic** address flow down does not apply to it. Automatic flow down copies an Account's **Billing Address** down to its related Contacts, and a Person Account has no related Contact to copy to.

To keep a Person Account's addresses in sync, use the manual **Sync Address Details** button. It copies the Person Account's **Billing Address** into its **Mailing Address** on demand.

### Before You Start

* The Person Account's **Billing Address** fields are populated. This is the address that the button copies.
* You have access to open and edit the Person Account.

### Sync the Billing Address to the Mailing Address

    From the **Accounts** tab or global search, open the Person Account you want to update (for example, *Ms. Beth John*).

    At the top right of the record header, click the **dropdown arrow (▾)** next to the **Edit** button.

  <Step title="Click Sync Address Details">
    From the dropdown, click **Sync Address Details**.

  <Step title="Confirm the address">
    Open the **Address Information** section of the Person Account. Confirm the **Mailing Address** now matches the values in the **Billing Address**.
